OUAT Drabble: Jefferson and the end of “Hat Trick”

Reposting for those who haven’t read it!

                  Jefferson waited for his imminent death falling out the window after the swift kick from Mary Margaret, better known as Snow White. He worried of leaving his precious Grace alone in the world but at least in Storybrooke she had a fake family keeping her happy. But when his head should’ve hit the ground, Jefferson only thudded into a dense area of grass. Looking around he knew he was not longer in Storybrooke. Emma got the hat to work.

                Dusting himself off, Jefferson at once began looking for the looking glass. He didn’t want any more run-ins with the Queen of Hearts or anyone; all he wanted was to return to Grace. When some soldiers passed along the road he hid, luckily not being seen. After what felt like hours he reached the looking glass and smiling reached out a hand to go through.

Their steps were getting closer and, no, she could never use her powers in front of or on non-wizard men. Out of question. It was a rule she followed her entire life. Rowena tore up the bottom of her dress to ease her run but her shoes weren’t made for race. Between the coldness of the snow under her toes and the blades of these bandits, her shape mind opted quickly for the bare feet.
Eight hours and she wasn’t back. Godric made his way up to the higher hill around the castle, waiting for any sign from the witch, his green eyes scanning the highlands. “Where are you Ro’? Please… Where are you?”
